Welcome to SAVO’s Risk Management E-Learning course. This course has been developed to help voluntary and community organisations in Suffolk meet their legal obligations under health and safety laws and create safer, healthier working conditions for their staff and volunteers.

This simple but comprehensive course provides clear and accessible information about risk assessment and uses interactive learning to help you learn how to put the principles of risk assessment into practice.

The exercises and case studies have been developed especially for voluntary and community groups and are particularly relevant to the type of work you do.

The course will take you through the principles of risk assessment, explain your legal obligations, teach you how to conduct risk assessments for your workplace and work activities, provide you with some downloadable tools for conducting risk assessments and give you information about where you can obtain further information and training.

By the end of this course you will have all the information and skills you need to undertake simple health and safety risk assessments for your organisation. SAVO run accredited and non-accredited courses on risk assessment, which are recommended for anyone with significant responsibility for risk assessment.
