Annie Owen from Debenham had her
wedding in India covered by
Let’s Talk magazine in 2003, so
she called the editor again when
she was after publicity for her
charity bike ride in Africa. She
supplied the photographs to
illustrate the feature. This is
a good example of using your
media contacts.
The bike ride took place as
planned and Annie is still
involved in fundraising for
African schools. She takes this
feature with her when she’s
asked to do a talk to a group
and uses every opportunity the
media gives her to publicise her
project. If you meet her she will
do her best to persuade you to
join her on the next charity
bike ride!
