Areas for improvement

There is no indication that this
is a Press Release. Therefore the words PRESS RELEASE
need to be added.

A contact name should be included,
not just the word “vicar”

Using the word “tercentenary” in
the 1st paragraph assumes that everyone knows
what a tercentenary is. It would be better to mention
“300 years” early on

It is not until the 2nd
paragraph that the precise date and time of the concert
is mentioned. It would be advisable to include this
information in the 1st paragraph, rather than
a vague mention of “on Friday”

It is important to indicate that
the Press Release has finished. The word ENDS should be
added.
With these amendments inserted, the Press

AMERICAN CHOIR JOIN
CHURCH CELEBRATIONS IN
DIBLEY
The choir of First
Parish in Dibley,
Massachusetts will be
joining the celebrations
of the 300-year-old
Dibley Parish Church on
Friday, 5th May, at
7-30p.m.
The American choir
(whose home town is also
celebrating its
tercentenary), will be
performing a programme
of 'Three Centuries of
American Song' at the
parish church which is
one of Suffolk’s
historic places of
worship. Admission is
free.
Earlier in the day
choir-members will visit
the ancestral Suffolk
town of Dibley where
they will be received by
members of the Dibley
Parish congregation and
the chair of the parish
council, Mr. David
Horton.
